What the free validator does

  • Every machine-checkable Matterhorn Protocol failure condition
  • PDF/UA-1, WCAG 2.1 Level AA and IS 5568 profiles
  • Right-to-left analysis: visual-order detection for Hebrew and Arabic
  • Screen-reader preview — exactly what a reader announces, in order
  • Structure tree with per-element geometry
  • JSON report

Unlimited. No page cap, no watermark on anything, no expiry, and no account required. Checking is commoditised — three good free tools already do it — so charging for it would only send you to one of them.

What a plan adds

  • Remediation, with the appearance gate on every export
  • The reading-order editor
  • Right-to-left logical-order repair
  • The remediation report, with the human-decision audit trail

What happens to your documents

A signed-out check is processed and discarded. Nothing is stored, and nothing is logged beyond the fact that a check ran.

Signed in, a check is stored only if you tick the box, and uploads expire after seven days. Alt text generation offers a fully local mode in which image bytes never leave the process.

Telemetry is off by default, opt-in, and never includes document content. This audience reads the privacy policy and checks with a proxy, which is the right instinct. The policy →

Desktop and command line

A desktop build and a CLI for CI pipelines are in the Pro tier and are not yet released. When they are, they will appear here and in the changelog — not before. We would rather say what is shipping than what is planned.
